God is not pleased by your good works, he’s pleased by the reason behind what you did.

Even after doing what is right, if your intention for doing that isn’t v good, he’d never be pleased.

God searches through your heart though. Your feelings comes from your heart, while your thoughts come from your mind, your thoughts would determine how you feel.

Your feelings lead to your decisions, while your actions depends on your decision. When God searches your heart, he checks what motivated you to make the decision you made, the decision might be good one.

Even if the decision is a good one, if your motive isn’t good, then he’d won’t be pleased.

So,it is not just your good works that pleases God. Your good works on Earth must be done with good intentions.

That’s why he said “Matthew 6
1. – TAKE CARE not to do your good deeds publicly or before men, in order to be seen by them; otherwise you will have no reward [reserved for and awaiting you] with and from your Father Who is in heaven.”

So your good works on Earth should be done not to please men, but to please to God because it isn’t men that committed those works unto you, but your creator. It is not men that would reward you, but God who is always faithful.

True faithfulness comes from doing good works with a good motive. When you do this, then God would bless you my doing what he wants to do in your life.
